Lock yourself out.
Only friends let you back in.
Block the apps that own you. When you want to break — your pact has to vote yes. Real accountability, the kind willpower can't fake.
Good morning, Lukáš
Stay locked in.
The unlock you don't control.
Every screen-time app loses to one move: you just turn it off. LockIn doesn't. The unlock button goes to your friends.
- 01You
tap “Unlock for 5 min”
Mid-focus session. Need Twitter open “for one tweet.”
- 02Pact
gets a push: “Lukáš wants out”
Sarah, Mike, Alex all see it. With your typed reason.
- 03Friends
vote allow / deny
Majority wins. You can’t override. You can’t uninstall.
- 04Verdict
you’re free — or still locked
Sarah said yes, Mike said no, Alex said no. Locked.
You set a limit. You hit a wall. You tap “Ignore for today.” You've cheated yourself by 9:14am.
You set a limit. You hit a wall. The unlock button isn't yours to press. Your friends decide if today is the day.

Three steps. One hard rule.
- 01
Lock the apps that drain you
Pick your time-sinks. TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube — whatever owns your evenings. LockIn uses Apple Screen Time so the block is real, not a screen overlay.
- 02
Form a pact with 1–4 friends
Share an invite code. Best results: people who already nag you about your phone. Your pact gets a notification every time you try to break out.
- 03
They hold the key
Want to unlock? Type a reason. Your pact votes. Majority wins. Solo timers exist too if you want gentle mode — but the friend lock is the part that actually works.
Built for people who actually mean it.
Pact voting
Unlock requests go to every member. Majority rules — no single point of failure, no mom-mode escape hatch.
Smart schedules
Lock during study hours. Lock from 9pm to 7am. Or set total daily limits across an app group.
Streaks that bite
Consecutive days locked in. Break a streak, your whole pact sees it. Public accountability.
Native iOS Screen Time
Built on Apple's FamilyControls. The block runs in the OS, not a browser tab you can close.
Silent during sleep
Vote requests respect your pact members' Focus modes. No 3am notifications when Sarah's trying to sleep.
Custom shield art
When you try to open a blocked app, you get a personal shield — a quote from your friend, a photo, your goal.
What people say after two weeks.
“My screen time went from 7h to 1h in two weeks. I literally cannot bypass my study group. They’re ruthless.”
SSarah K.
Med student, Berlin
“We made a pact for finals — TikTok and Reddit locked from 8am to 10pm. All four of us got A’s.”
MMike T.
CS undergrad, Boston
“Set this up with my fiancé. He controls my Reddit. I control his Twitter. Honestly saved date nights.”
AAlex R.
Designer, NYC
“I’ve tried every focus app. They all let me out at the worst moment. LockIn doesn’t. That’s the whole point.”
PPavel D.
Founder, Prague
Your data never leaves
your device.
LockIn is built on Apple's privacy-first Screen Time framework. We physically cannot see which apps you use.
Read the privacy policyScreen Time stays on device
Apple's FamilyControls runs entirely on your iPhone. We can't see which apps you use or block.
No tracking, no ads
We make money when you stay focused. Selling your attention would defeat the whole product.
Minimum data only
Your profile, pact memberships, unlock requests. Nothing else. Read the policy — it's short.
The questions you're about to ask.
Set a fallback timer per pact. If no quorum after 30 minutes (or 1h, 2h, your call), the request expires and you stay locked. No silent auto-unlock.
No. They see your lock session status (active / inactive) and your unlock request reason — never which specific apps you blocked. Apple's framework hides app identities even from us.
Apple's Screen Time blocks persist even if you uninstall LockIn — they live in iOS itself. To bypass them you'd have to disable Screen Time in iOS Settings entirely. Your pact gets notified the moment that happens.
Minimum 1, max 4 per pact. Solo accountability also works (just you + a fixed timer, no votes). The friend lock is recommended though — it's the part that survives day three.
iOS only at launch. Apple's Screen Time API is uniquely powerful — Android has no equivalent that we trust to actually block. Android version planned for 2026 if Google ships parental-control APIs.
Free during beta. After launch: $4.99/month or $39/year. The first pact you join is always free — we figure once your friends are in, you'll stay.
